HAPPY WEEKEND!

It’s the weekend at the end of a week or two of holidays…best ever, right?

We spent our week off with family at the beginning of the week and then at home working on projects and trying to recuperate from a nasty stomach bug (me) and head cold (ben) that we managed to pick up along the way. Our New Year’s celebration consisted of tea + toast and an early bedtime by nine o’clock. I still felt pretty yucky the next day, and spent the entire day on the couch and in my bed BUT I am officially recovered and back to normal now. I always forget how much I dislike being sick until I am, and of course it was a bum deal to miss out on the festivities for New Years…but two thousand and fifteen came in even though we did nothing to celebrate.

Ben has been such a trooper this week and has been working on building us a new dining table, in spite of his head cold. I love how it’s coming together so far, and can’t wait to see the finished product. He’s a genius with wood and I love to be the recipients of his handiworks, hehe.

This morning we are heading off to check out a baby crib from Craigslist, and fingers crossed hoping it’s as nice as it appears online. It’s a really good deal, and even though it’s been used, a good cleaning plus a coat of paint will make it just like new. Hopefully we can check one more thing off the baby list!
