It’s so hard to believe that November is over and we’re officially into the holiday season! We had a busy and fun month, and here are a few of my favorites from the past thirty days:

SONG – Not a new song, but I pulled it out again from my iTunes archives. So peaceful and good!

READ – This was so inspirational. She is not coming from a Christian perspective and there are some things I don’t completely agree with, as well as a little bit of language sprinkled throughout, but if I could recommend a book without recommending a book, it would be this one. I have about a million posts that have been inspired because of this, so be prepared.

DRINK – My favorite cafe misto with an espresso shot from this cafe. It was truly one of the best I’ve ever had!

DISCOVERY – Ombre hair. My hairstylist friend did an amazing job and it turned out just like I wanted it! So fun for something different.

RECIPE – This was so simple and easy, and so much tastier than I thought it would be! Definitely a favorite recipe for green beans.

PURCHASE – This little gem! It gives so much volume and fluff that I love, although it does make beasty tangles that are really frustrating to comb out. The things we do for pretty hair…

MEMORY – Meeting this man and hearing parts of his story from his own mouth. Words cannot even express…

NIGHT ~~OUT~~ IN – Date night in with Indian take-out and a movie.

Is there any better feeling than waking up on a Saturday morning and staying in bed an extra thirty minutes just because you can, making waffles, drinking strong coffee, and then going back for seconds on both because, well, it’s the weekend?

We had a great week, although busier than most. Ben was at a men’s leadership event for a few days, and I was doing the cooking for the event. It was super fun, but it kept me busy! I made this for dinner one night, and used up the leftover meat and sauce for a roast gravy over toast last night. Yum-oh.

We are going to this tomorrow night! Ben had seen that this event was coming up months ago and told me to clear the calendar for November 16 but without telling me what was going on. I love surprises, but social media can betray you sometimes. About a month later, a little notice came across my Facebook feed that my husband was going to this concert on the 16th…hey-oh! I was still surprised and super excited…! Yesterday we were looking up more information and realized that if we went on Sunday night we would actually get to hear her and them too! I like her and had never heard of them, but after a little YouTube listening, I was sold.

Most of you have probably seen this by now…I read through it, laughing the whole time. So true on so many levels!

Loved this article! It’s a challenge to learn that balance between taking thought for your life and decisions, but not falling into that controlling and inflexible thought processes.

I’m trying to talk myself into picking up my crocheting again…I would love to do something like this! One can never have too many scarves, right?
